Job summary

General Motors of Canada is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Oshawa to join the Vehicle and Trailers camera viewing team within ITC. This hybrid role requires collaborative development of embedded features for vehicle interfaces and trailer integration, with on-site presence three days per week.

You will prototype, test, and deliver camera-based features across the stack, coordinate with TPMs, program managers, and performance teams, and lead embedded software efforts in an Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development in automotive or related industry.
• Experience developing or leading development of complex camera based features.
• Significant experience in all aspects of the development process, from requirement analysis to backend integration.
• Outstanding collaboration and communications skills.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile software development process and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Work with a large group of technical employees responsible for engineering deliverables.
• Initiate, prototype and test new features and technologies.
• Collaborate with ITC teams and TPMs, program managers, and performance teams.
• Develop and release embedded features for Vehicle Interface Processor, VCU and others.
• Design and develop embedded software in an Agile environment.
• Perform analysis, resolution, and tracking of defects to closure.
• Coordinate and participate in architecture, requirements, design, code reviews.
