Job summary

Top Tier Talent Group is recruiting an Electronics Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert for an established automotive manufacturer in Belleville, Ontario. You will lead the implementation and operation of SMT assembly, defining the process, equipment needs, and leading installation and production readiness.

After ramp-up, you will assume operational leadership of the SMT function, working with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to build reliable, scalable electronic manufacturing

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 7–10+ years of progressive electronics manufacturing and SMT experience.
• Strong hands-on SMT process and equipment knowledge.
• Experience implementing or launching SMT lines.
• Understanding PCB/PCBA manufacturing in high-volume settings.
• Automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing experience; IATF16949 familiarity preferred.
• Experience with capital-equipment projects and supplier management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analysis and root-cause problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SMT manufacturing capability development and implementation.
• Define process and equipment requirements and develop specifications.
• Evaluate SMT equipment, suppliers and system integrators.
• Coordinate FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning and production readiness.
• Establish manufacturing parameters, process controls and production standards.
• Support product industrialization and launch with cross-functional partners.
• Ensure processes meet quality and launch timing requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in SMT operations.
