Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Ottawa, ON, seeks an Electronic Attack (EA) Analyst to develop EA mission libraries for the Royal Canadian Navy at the Naval Electronic Warfare Centre (NEWC) in Ottawa. The analyst will be embedded at NEWC to develop engagement models in Ship Air Defence Model (SADM) and use modelling and simulation tools to create and test the mission libraries.

The engagement models may include ships, environment, sensors (Radar, Electro-optics, Infrared), EA assets (Chaff, Decoys, Jammers)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with five years' experience or master's with three years.
  • Experience with radar systems design, radar signal processing and analysis.
  • RF theory knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Canadian citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct open and classified literature research and engineering analysis for system parameters and behaviours
  • Perform mathematical modelling based on first principles to estimate system parameters
  • Develop parametric models
  • Conduct simulation engagements between the various entities (ship, threat systems)
  • Execute Monte Carlo simulations and analysis
  • Perform analysis and verification activities to confirm system model behaviours
  • Document simulation results and support trials

Job description

Standard Job Description The Electronic Attack (EA) Analyst will be responsible for developing EA mission libraries for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) at the Naval Electronic Warfare Centre (NEWC) in Ottawa, Canada. The EA Analyst will be embedded at NEWC to develop engagement models in Ship Air Defence Model (SADM) and use other Modelling and Simulation (M&S) tools to create and test the mission libraries. The engagement models may include ship, environment, sensors (Radar, Electro-optics, and Infrared), EA assets (Chaff, Decoys and Jammers) as well as threat systems. The EA Analyst will also support documentation as well as Verification and Validation (V&V) of the digital models. Other responsibilities may include supporting shore-based and sea trials.

Responsibilities May Include

Basic Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics or engineering relevant to the role with five years professional experience or a master's degree with three years experience
  • Experience with Radar systems design, radar signal processing and analysis
  • Radio Frequency (RF) theory
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Canadian Citizen.
