Customer requirements form the foundation of the design which guides all engineering solutions and product elements. Initial design efforts are based on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) which provide the necessary details required by all engineering teams (Hardware (HW), Software (SW), electrical, etc.) Technically, the systems engineer is responsible for the total product development including, but not limited to, concepts, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. The systems engineer supports the program office ensuring logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total systems solutions under technical, schedule and cost constraints.

This embedded systems engineering senior position falls under the guidance and mentorship of the lead systems engineer and/or technical director.

  • Analyze customer requirements and derive requirements applicable to Field Programable Gate Array (FPGA) designs as Intellectual Property (IP) cores
  • Collaborate on system design activities with the lead systems engineer and other engineering staff such as HW or SW
  • Apply MBSE to capture RADAR and EW system/subsystem design elements from a logical and physical perspective
  • Define and track Technical Performance Measures (TPM) correlated to requirements
  • Conduct trade studies for real-time embedded systems
  • Coordinate and/or support internal and customer technical reviews
  • Produce engineering documentation supporting the design of RADAR and EW systems/sub-systems
  • Support various engineering disciplines in applying the design.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field; or three years of professional experience with a related master’s degree
