Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager in Toronto to manage all electrical elements of a new project, ensuring full project deliverables are achieved.

This role reports to the Operations Manager and involves liaising daily with suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ Advisors, and Subcontractors.

What You Would Do

• Attend project start-up meetings.
• Become familiar with all project details and specifications.
• Be ultimately responsible for collating technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval.
• Raise and manage RFIs.
• Manage labour tracker.
• Maintain weekly Progress Reports, reporting and managing changes/variations.
• Liaise with main contractors and the site-based client team.
• Oversee coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment.
• Ensure adequate materials are always available to complete the project.
• Implement construction and commissioning programmes and plans on site.
• Generate biweekly/monthly snag lists and improvements.
• Manage K&M handover process and maintain the K&M Document Management System.
• Develop project-specific scheduling.
• Hold meetings with Subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Attend general site meetings and address action points.
• Communicate any innovative, project-specific works to the Contracts Manager (R&D).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a similar role.
• Successful track record of delivering large-scale projects.
• Qualification in Construction/Project Management is preferred.
• Experience supervising teams.
