Placements24 seeks a Senior Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for mining operations in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will design, install, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control Engineering, 7+ years' experience, and strong knowledge of process instrumentation, DCS/PLC systems, and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Design, specify, and implement electrical and instrumentation systems for process control and automation.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments, including transmitters, sensors, control valves, and analyzers.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation issues on plant equipment, minimizing downtime.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and instrumentation datasheets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Perform root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize process performance and reliability.
• Manage instrumentation spare parts inventory and procurement processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for instrumentation.
