Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer for our Kimberley operations to drive advancements in industrial automation and control systems. You will design, implement, and optimize automated processes, leading projects with state-of-the-art technologies while ensuring reliability and safety.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI/SCADA design, coding, troubleshooting, and documentation. The role requires 6+ years in automation and a strong safety mindset; hybrid work flexibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial networks.
• Experience with robotics and motion control systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and functional safety principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
