Job summary

Raise is seeking two Senior Electrical Engineers to support the operation, design, commissioning, and ongoing improvement of systems within a nuclear facility in Pickering.

The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary team of engineering and technical specialists, providing technical guidance, coordinating work, and maintaining procedures to ensure safe and compliant operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • P.Eng license in Ontario required (DE qualification preferred).
  • OPG DE qualification preferred is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a nuclear facility.
  • Develop and execute projects in line with customer expectations and applicable standards.
  • Maintain and update written processes and procedures reflecting improved methods.
  • Coordinate specification clarifications and arrange changes across major work areas.
  • Maintain department procedures and update related documentation.
  • Provide technical advice on design, commissioning and operation of nuclear facilities.
  • Evaluate components and materials and perform economic studies for nuclear facilities.

Job Overview

Our client is seeking two Senior Electrical Engineers to support the operation, design, commissioning, and ongoing improvement of systems within a nuclear facility in Pickering.


The successful candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineering and technical specialists supporting various mechanical and electrical systems. The role will involve providing technical advice, solving engineering problems, coordinating technical work, supporting projects, and maintaining procedures and documented processes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineering and technical specialists to support the operation of various mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Develop and execute projects in compliance with customer expectations and applicable industry regulations and standards.

  • Maintain written processes and procedures and update documentation to reflect improved operating methods and additions to supported systems.

  • Coordinate clarification of specification requirements and arrange for necessary changes and technical work across several major work areas.

  • Maintain and update operating and other specified department and divisional procedures.

  • Solve problems and provide technical advice and guidance related to the design, commissioning, and operation of a nuclear facility.

  • Initiate developmental studies and make recommendations related to the design, commissioning, and operation of a nuclear facility.

  • Evaluate components and materials and perform economic studies and evaluations associated with the design, commissioning, and operation of a nuclear facility.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • P.Eng. license in Ontario.

  • OPG DE qualification is preferred.
