Job summary

Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Calgary-based Engineering team. You will manage capital and non-capital projects, develop electrical drawings, and ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. The role reports to the Director CapEx and supports Alberta operations.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, mentor technicians, and coordinate site activities to deliver safe, timely projects in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• P.Eng. designation with APEGA or similar.
• 12–15 years of heavy industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong CAD/ECAD and electrical design knowledge.
• Familiar with AC/DC motor and drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital and non-capital projects.
• Prepare design and equipment specification documents.
• Coordinate electrical design with manufacturing facilities.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Mentor technicians in electrical system design and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and customer requirements.
