The Senior Electrical Engineer is a key contributor at Setplan Engineering, responsible for delivering electrical engineering services across a range of new-build, renovation, and tenant improvement projects, spanning sectors from health care and education to mining and industrial. From detailed design and technical execution through project management and client relationships, this role supports the company’s reputation for turning complex problems into simple, effective solutions.
Reporting to the Principal (Senior P.Eng.), the Senior Electrical Engineer contributes to the growth of the organization by assisting with the development of internal standards, participating in training, and supporting business development efforts. An entrepreneurially minded, detail-oriented, practical engineer with strong technical expertise and a drive to get the job done will thrive in this role.

Compensation and Search Process
This role is Whitehorse, YT based. Work is predominantly in office and on site, with some hybrid work from home flexibility. Compensation is competitive with an anticipated salary range of $140,000+, with benefits (including relocation assistance available). Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at time of hire and consent to a criminal background check. Periodic travel to job sites is required, generally in-town, or out of town overnight trips. Ideal applicants must be fit and capable of working on/around construction sites. The search process will include search consultant interviews, committee interview and technical assessment. Finalists will be requested to provide comprehensive recent references and complete a background check.
