Agilus Work Solutions is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for an underground mining-focused role in Sudbury, Ontario. The position requires 12+ years in industrial EPCM environments and P.E.O. registration.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, provide technical leadership, and develop electrical design deliverables including specs, drawings, and vendor data. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential for client collaboration and project success.

Qualifications

• Senior Electrical Engineer with 12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in EPCM environments for industrial projects.
• Underground mining project experience is required.
• Engineering degree and registration as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering Association.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers, and CAD professionals in the successful delivery of mining and mineral processing projects.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to electrical project teams and junior staff.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering calculations, designs, and technical deliverables.
• Develop electrical equipment specifications and detailed design, procurement, construction, and installation documents.
• Review vendor drawings and technical data to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare conceptual designs, engineering studies, technical reports, and project proposals.
• Collaborate with project teams and client representatives to ensure effective communication and project execution.
• Monitor project performance, report on project metrics, and support site visits and project-related activities as required.

Successful candidates will have:

• Underground mining project experience is required.
• Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering Association.
• Strong communication skills - oral and written.
• Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards.
• Proficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPENDemonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teams.
