Job summary

Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer

This position offers exposure to a diverse range of manufacturing equipment, modern automation technologies and electrical infrastructure, with significant ongoing investment in plant upgrades and modernization.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Lead electrical and controls engineering projects from initial design and budgeting through installation, commissioning and completion.
• Provide technical expertise for industrial power distribution systems, substations, transformers and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Design, program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and SCADA systems.
• Support equipment modernization, automation upgrades and capital investment initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues across both legacy and modern manufacturing equipment.
• Develop electrical drawings, specifications, control system designs and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering teams and external contractors to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 10+ years of electrical/controls engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, medium-voltage substations, transformers and single-line diagrams.
• Proven experience managing electrical and automation capital projects.
• Proficiency with PLC, HMI and VFD programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with industrial SCADA systems and network communications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, arc flash safety, risk assessments and machine safeguarding.

$110,000–$120,000 annually, plus paid overtime after 40 hours per week.
