Role: Senior Electrical Designer

Type: Permanent FTE

Location: 5x/week onsite in Mississauga, ON

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer responsible for developing electrical control panel schematics for various projects. The role involves working from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other relevant data to ensure successful design and implementation of electrical systems. The Senior Electrical Designer will contribute to project proposals, kick-offs, design reviews, panel fabrication support, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and project closeout. As a senior lead, you will facilitate workload management, mentor junior and intermediate electrical team members, and address team deficiencies. Additionally, this role involves overseeing the ePlan management software, leading its implementation organization-wide.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with ePlan software including:

➢ 5-7 years experience with ePlan Electric P8 (schematics)

➢ 2-3 years experience with ePlan ProPanel

➢ Proficiency in creating 3D macros and using smart wiring/production features

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of machine safety Z432-16
• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications
• Basic understanding of equipment and systems in manufacturing facilities for Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Water, and Wastewater industries
