Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.

We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will be part of the hardware design and development team, working alongside other engineering disciplines to support and develop aerospace electronics products. Responsibilities include analyzing product requirements, preparing design materials, creating concept diagrams, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product hardware requirements and create detailed block diagrams.
• Design and develop complex safety-critical aerospace electronics using DO-254 and DO-160 guidelines.
• Create electronic circuits and concept diagrams for prototypes.
• Prepare design materials such as block diagrams, design documents, and pricing for reviews and proposals.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Hardware, and Component Engineering teams to analyze and resolve issues.
• Develop strong interdisciplinary relationships to maximize collaboration and achieve project goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in electronic design involving microcontrollers, CPLD, switching power regulators, and analog design.
• Experience preparing design documents for PDR and CDR milestones.
• Proficiency in medium to complex schematic design using Orcad Capture or similar tools.
• Experience in full hardware design cycle from requirements to product delivery of safety-critical systems in DAL A, B, C.
• Experience with DO-160 design and testing.
• Experience in creating DO-254 plans.
