Job summary

WSP is seeking an Electrical and Controls Designer to shape energy projects across Canada. You will join our Energy & Process team and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to deliver future-ready electrical designs.

Based in offices nationwide, the role requires 5+ years in electrical design and advanced AutoCAD proficiency, with experience in power generation projects. You will review P&IDs, generate complete drawing packages, and support construction with field guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in electrical design.
• Experience supporting power generation projects.
• Proficient in drafting electrical drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Review P&IDs and convert them into electrical drawings and specs.
• Generate complete electrical drawing packages for approval, bid, and construction.
• Apply standards to evaluate RFQs, quotations, and electrical contracts.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines to meet project goals.
• Provide field wiring details and guidance to contractors.
