Job summary

Suncor Energy, Calgary-based, seeks a Senior Electrical Compliance Engineer to lead ARS CIP compliance across generation and transmission assets. You will coordinate AESO audits, prepare evidence, and liaise with regulators to safeguard Alberta’s BES while supporting Suncor’s regulatory commitments.

Required are a P.Eng., 10+ years in electricity, and strong CIP knowledge. Relocation assistance is provided, with competitive compensation and benefits. Calgary-based role with some travel.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent.
• 10+ years in electricity/utility industry.
• Strong knowledge of NERC/ARS CIP standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Certifications in compliance, cybersecurity, or CIP (e.g., CISA/CISSP) preferred.
• Experience with regulatory bodies and compliance monitoring processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities to ensure ARS CIP compliance for Suncor assets.
