Job summary

Santinel inc. seeks a Senior EHS Advisor to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing risk. You will shape a culture of safety and environmental stewardship in a fast‑paced environment.

The role is a 12‑month contract with potential extension. Hybrid work includes three days on-site in Toronto and two days remote, with opportunities to influence leadership and drive continuous improvement in EHS practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10+ years of progressive EHS experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and environmental regulations.
• Professional designation such as CRSP preferred.
• Experience leading audits, investigations, and compliance programs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Conduct complex risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
• Analyze EHS performance metrics and provide recommendations.
• Support operational leaders in managing safety performance and accountability.
• Manage regulatory inspections, audits, and interactions with government agencies.
• Develop and deliver advanced EHS training and coaching programs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices and ISO standards.
