AtkinsRéalis is seeking an HSE Advisor to support the Regional HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs across Ontario. The role focuses on projects and offices throughout the region and ensuring compliance with HSE standards and legislation.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Professional certifications are an asset.
• ISO / COR or similar HSE auditing certifications are assets.
• 3–5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in engineering/construction.
• Strong knowledge of applicable provincial and federal HSE legislation.
• Experience in incident investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Ability to work independently and with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reporting tools.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.

Responsabilités

• Support implementation and maintenance of HSE programs across Ontario.
• Develop, review, and implement HSE plans, procedures, and JHAs.
• Conduct site visits, audits, inspections, and HSE assurance activities.
• Provide HSE guidance to project teams on standards and regulations.
• Deliver HSE orientations, toolbox talks, and training.
• Coordinate training requirements and maintain records.
• Lead or support incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and performance metrics.
• Support emergency preparedness and Joint Health and Safety Committee activities.
• Analyze HSE data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
