The Senior Director of Sales at Diligent will lead our dynamic sales strategy and grow a high-performing Sales team. We're seeking a passionate leader who thrives on achieving ambitious bookings goals and excels in developing talent. Your mission? Key Responsibilities
  • Execute strategic bookings plans to achieve corporate goals, ensuring use of commercial sales motion and methodologies.
  • Manage bookings and attain targets across all products and provide regular performance and forecasting updates/reports against sales targets and OKRs.
  • Develop and promote internal cross-selling strategy.
  • Review and analyze the respective geographic market to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide coaching/development and day-to-day operational support to a team of individual contributors to achieve bookings and growth targets.
  • Act as a Company representative at trade association meetings and other events as required.
  • Collaborate with Diligent stakeholders to execute on company strategy.
  • Partner with sales reps on delivering commercial results through all commercial aspects.
  • Work closely with Marketing to execute a winning marketing plan and go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Professional Services to grow the business and provide a ‘white-glove’ customer experience.
  • Devising and overseeing client and territory strategies for new and expansion sales teams.
  • Driving new business growth across the region, as well as client and prospect advocacy.
  • Working with Product Marketing and other commercial, operational, or technical teams to enhance and evolve Diligent’s brand and product messaging based on product use cases, buyer personas, market, or regional requirements.
  • Oversight of pipeline reviews, forecasting, and other monthly commercial reporting commitments.
  • Conduct team member reviews and appraisals.
  • Monitoring of systems for key operational metrics, and regularly reviewing and iterating approaches with the team.
  • Communicating the appropriate subset of metrics to the leadership team and others as needed.
  • Attracting high-potential individual contributors into the team and accelerating onboarding for new team members.
  • Effectively coaching and encouraging continuous learning and development within the team.
  • Fostering collaboration within the team and across customer touchpoints.
  • Collaborating with internal partners across departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product & Technology, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and Legal.
  • Learning from industry best practices to continually grow and improve Diligent’s commercial performance.
Required Experience/Skills:
  • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
  • A proven track record in leading SaaS sales teams in the Americas Market.
  • Proven experience in managing the sales cycle, structuring sales quotas, and setting revenue expectations.
  • Exceptional skills in forecasting and reporting accuracy along with a deep understanding of the value drivers in a recurring revenue business model.
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and implementation skills, with the ability to think ahead.
  • Employee training and development expertise.
  • Experience in using sales software/technologies including CRM.
  • Demonstrated leadership through accountability, continuous learning, and improvement.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with a passion to inspire, innovate, motivate, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals and champion the Diligent culture.

Pay Range

$175,000 - $200,000 CAD
