CA$149,000.00/yr - CA$205,000.00/yr

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis - North America Commercial Operations, you are responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the North American commercial business at Arc’teryx. You, along with your team, will support business strategy through ownership of the P&L across our Retail, eCommerce, and Wholesale channels, and you will be instrumental in driving the vision for North America’s growth during the long-range planning process. You will provide senior management with analysis to understand business trends, improve performance, and forecast profitability and financial position for the upcoming quarter and year ahead.

This role can be hired remotely. Remote candidates must be committed to Pacific time zone hours aligned with the ARC’TERYX headquarters in North Vancouver, B.C.

Meet your future team:

The Financial Planning & Analysis team at Arc’teryx provides leadership with the information needed to review past performance, understand business trends, and anticipate future profitability and financial position. Through review of historic financials, variance analysis, and KPI tracking, FP&A advises leadership on key investment decisions and performance improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a high-performing team supporting Retail, eCommerce, and Wholesale channels to deliver company strategy within North America.
  • Acting as the primary FP&A business partner to North America Commercial Leaders, supporting annual budgets and reforecasting cycles for sales, margin, and operating costs.
  • Owning the five-year sales plan for North America, maintaining the plan, and articulating key sales growth drivers to leadership, including investment quantification.
  • Supporting the development of weekly and monthly tracking reports and providing analysis for strategic leadership.
  • Providing commentary and variance analysis on financial and operating metrics.
  • Leading sales planning meetings and coordinating materials and content.
  • Collaborating with teams to manage retail, eCommerce, and wholesale channel expenses through monthly reporting and analysis.
  • Partnering with Supply Chain to understand inventory and seasonal drops, aligning product and financial plans.
  • Partnering with Store Development on retail store business cases, new site evaluations, and ROI assessments.
  • Developing new store opening reports, cohort analysis, and omni-channel success metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a finance leader in retail.
  • University degree in Commerce or Business Administration; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, modeling skills, and financial statement knowledge.
  • International business experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead projects across organizations.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking skills under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with BI tools and multi-platform, multi-currency environments.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

The estimated pay range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$205,000, based on skills, experience, and education. This range reflects base salary only; additional bonuses and benefits are offered.
