Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Director, Program Management & Integration in Edmonton. This senior role leads capital project controls, portfolio performance, data governance and analytics, providing executive reporting and funding decisions.

Qualifications

• A University degree in business administration, public administration, finance, engineering, economics, project management, data analytics, or a related field supplemented by five years progressively responsible experience.
• Related experience or education may be considered as the equivalency on a one for one basis.
• Knowledge of accounting, financial management and reporting theories and concepts including GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor capital portfolios against approved scope, schedule, budget, funding and outcome commitments.
• Recommend corrective actions and escalates significant performance issues to senior and executive leadership.
• Establish a ministry-wide capital project data strategy and performance measurement framework.
• Provide project and portfolio-level financial advice and recommend funding reallocations.
• Oversee predictive analytics and AI-enabled forecasting and build data literacy.
• Oversee regular and ad hoc reporting for senior leadership and committees.
