S.I. Systems Ltd. invites an experienced Senior Director to lead a Global Data Retention Management Program.

This role focuses on governance, planning, and delivery across global business groups within a regulated financial services environment. You will build the PMO structure, roadmap, and delivery model from the ground up while engaging senior stakeholders across technology, risk, privacy, compliance, legal, and business units.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading large, complex enterprise programs, including global or multi-business transformation.
  • Demonstrated success building and running a large program office with multiple PMs, workstreams, delivery partners and senior sponsors.
  • Strong command of program governance, integrated planning, dependency management, RAID management, financial oversight, resource planning and executive reporting.
  • Experience delivering programs in data governance, data management, records and information management, cybersecurity, privacy, regulatory remediation, technology risk or related domains.
  • Ability to translate strategy and risk objectives into practical work packages, milestones, measures and accountable execution.
  • Experience leading federated programs where central standards and governance support execution by business or regional teams.
  • Working knowledge of structured and unstructured data environments, data lifecycle practices, classification, retention and disposition concepts.
  • Experience managing consulting firms, systems integrators and specialist vendors in outcome-based engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated delivery across discovery, planning, execution, and transition activities for the Global Data Retention Management Program.
  • Establish and operate the program management office, integrated roadmap, and master schedule.
  • Design and manage governance forums, decision rights, escalation paths, and accountability structures.
  • Coordinate delivery across project managers, workstream leads, internal teams, and external delivery partners.
  • Develop executive reporting covering milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, financials, and outcomes.
  • Partner with business groups to sequence work based on risk, readiness, dependencies, and capacity.
  • Manage vendors and systems integrators across scope, deliverables, commercial performance, quality, and knowledge transfer.

Duration: Until December 15, 2027 (possibility of extension or conversion)

Location: Waterloo or Toronto - Hybrid. Limited onsite presence required, typically one to two days per month (less than one day per week on average).

Work Hours: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, either 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexibility is required on occasion to accommodate meetings with global stakeholders, including occasional early morning or evening calls with Asia-based partners.

Join a cross-enterprise transformation initiative focused on reducing regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity risk across structured and unstructured data environments. This role will establish and lead the Global Data Retention Management Program, including governance, integrated planning, executive reporting, and delivery execution across global business groups. The program is in its early stages, offering the opportunity to build the PMO structure, roadmap, and delivery model from the ground up. The role engages senior stakeholders across technology, data, risk, privacy, compliance, legal, and business functions within a highly regulated financial services environment.
