Job Summary

The Senior Director, Commercial Enablement & Strategic Development plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, commercial outcomes, and operational excellence within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing key aspects of strategic business cases and innovative proposition development, market analysis, and syndication partnerships while ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth strategies.


The Senior Director will act as a key leader in advancing new business ventures, partnerships and offerings while enabling the Sales, Revenue, and Partnerships teams to deliver short- and long-term B2B syndication revenue protection and growth. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and expertise in strategic planning, with strong product understanding and expertise, to ensure the successful execution of organizational priorities.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Planning, Market Analysis and Proposition Development:

  • Supports the leadership of this function in fostering short- and long-term strategic development across the organization
  • Leads research efforts to analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth
  • Recommends propositions that we can sell to our syndication partners based on real market insight and works with the Account teams, relevant internal teams and senior leadership to deliver

Commercial Strategy & Syndication:

  • Partners with the leadership of the function to develop commercial strategies and product offerings that protect and grow revenue from syndication partners
  • Works with external syndication partners and prospects to secure mutually beneficial agreements that align with organizational goals.
  • Develops meaningful business cases and commercial proposals for internal sign-off by senior leadership.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Provides leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and successful execution of initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with Account Managers, Finance teams, product owners, training teams, and senior leaders to maximize outcomes.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, developing, and motivating team members across departments.

Operational Excellence:

  • Owns specific components of the commercial strategy plan while ensuring effective communication across internal teams and external partners.
  • Tracks customer feedback themes to recommend improvements in sales effectiveness

Insights & Reporting:

  • Prepares detailed reports on strategic insights for top management discussions.
  • Monitors key metrics to evaluate business cases effectively and ensure alignment with organizational objectives

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between leadership and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of priorities
  • Provides independent judgment on matters of significance while maintaining flexibility to respond to partner needs as required
  • Represent CTS externally at events, forums and partner engagements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in strategic planning, product management or commercial strategy development at a senior level
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and negotiate with external partners
  • Strong expertise in managing global partnerships, customer relationships, and syndicated product delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate with business development and sales to align on growth strategies and drive business expansion
  • Experience working with core product teams to align solutions with business and market needs.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive consensus across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on driving business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills at an executive level.
  • Excellent commercial acumen
