Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to lead a dynamic dining team, delivering warm, welcoming, and outstanding meal services to residents and guests. You will align dining experiences with Chartwell’s Brand Hospitality Standards and collaborate with kitchen and service staff to meet dietary needs.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of supervisory experience in hospitality or healthcare, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' supervisory experience in hospitality, retirement, or healthcare sectors.
• Secondary school completion or equivalent; First Aid and CPR certificates required
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Well-organized with a focus on delivering quality experiences
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy with Word and Excel
• Valid provincial alcohol service and food safety certifications (or equivalent) required

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain exceptional dining experiences aligned with Chartwell’s Brand Hospitality Standards
• Hire, train, schedule, and inspire dining staff to deliver excellent service
• Ensure safe food handling, regulatory compliance, and company quality standards
• Collaborate with Food Services and kitchen teams to meet dietary needs and preferences
• Address resident and family concerns promptly to enhance satisfaction
• Support special events and manage dining operations within budget as part of the leadership team
