Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Technician IV in Guelph, ON. The role focuses on major diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls in a fast-paced shop, mentoring junior technicians and leading by example in safety and quality.

The candidate will work Sunday to Wednesday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a base hourly wage of $41 plus premiums, sign-on and retention bonuses. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and professional growth within a Fortune 500 employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Vocational/technical certifications preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in vehicle diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and technically challenging diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls.
• Mentor other technicians and contribute to training.
• Follow safety, DOT and internal guidelines in daily work.
• Coordinate with customers/drivers to understand the issue and plan repairs.
• Maintain proper documentation and use shop management systems.
