Job summary

Jane Software Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to build tools and shared infrastructure that accelerate our 300+ developers across Canada, the US, and the UK.

You’ll shape a platform mindset, integrate with existing systems, and reduce CI noise, PR latency, and churn by turning insights into durable tooling. You will partner with product teams, scale agentic AI workflows, and improve observability and safety.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience designing systems other developers depend on.
• Hands-on, daily experience building with agentic AI coding tools across the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with evals, prompt and context engineering, or guardrails for autonomous agents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build tools and shared infrastructure to accelerate Jane's developers.
• Adopt a platform mindset and plug into larger systems we own.
• Embed with product teams and remove friction with tooling.
• Drive agent-authored code from novelty to normal and expand AI usage.
• Communicate early and often in a distributed environment.
