Position Summary

Reporting to the New Product Development Engineering Manager, the Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for executing engineering design projects from concept through production, including calculations, drawings, bills of material, and technical documentation. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure timely, high-quality product development and supports implementation in manufacturing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Execute engineering design tasks for prototyping, testing, and product development
• Manage task timelines, track progress, and communicate risks or scope changes
• Perform calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet performance and regulatory standards
• Review and prepare technical documentation, including Engineering Documents, Instructions to Service, Shop Floor Instructions, and other documents as authorized
• Develop designs that meet customer requirements, internal standards, and best practices
• Conduct testing to validate component performance, fit and reliability
• Collaborate with supplier product use, testing, and application approvals
• Support technical evaluations, including specifications, bid review, FMEAs, and hazard analyses
  
  
  

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology
• 5-10 years design experience with a demonstrated ability to achieve performance objectives and targets
• Proficiency in CAD and MS Office Suite
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail with the ability to break down complex problems and think through design challenges logically
