Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Canada to develop advanced forecasting models and ML solutions that drive revenue growth across multiple product lines and regions.

You will own the full ML lifecycle from feature engineering to deployment, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into strategic insights that influence planning and decision making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or quantitative analytics.
• Strong background in sales forecasting, revenue analytics, and time-series modeling.
• Expertise in forecasting methodologies such as ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, or equivalent approaches.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and ML development.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data for modeling.
• Hands-on experience training, evaluating, and optimizing ML models using PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost or equivalent.
• Experience deploying ML systems using AWS SageMaker, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Understanding of software engineering practices including version control and testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with clear communication.
• Ability to work independently and mentorship within teams.
• Strong presentation skills for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve sales forecasting models across product lines and regions.
• Build ML solutions for short- and long-term revenue forecasting.
• Own the complete ML lifecycle from data prep to deployment and monitoring.
• Apply forecasting methods like ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM to business challenges.
• Develop self-service forecasting tools for real-time insights.
• Translate model outputs into actionable business recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to align solutions with priorities.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to technical standards.
• Continuously improve model performance and production workflows.
