Job summary

isgSearch is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support Canadian business units, reporting to the Director, Data Science. The role will accelerate the growth and adoption of advanced analytics, guiding design, development and implementation of analytics use cases.

Responsibilities include translating goals into analytical problems, building ML/data science products (including GenAI applications), feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and prompt engineering for LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Statistics/Math.
• 5+ years of data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python for data science and GenAI development.
• Experience with SQL and PySpark across multiple data sources.
• Experience with ML including supervised/unsupervised models.
• Strong API, microservices, and cloud-native development understanding.
• Hands-on with GenAI frameworks and LLM APIs; bot/agent development experience.
• Knowledge of RAG, prompt engineering, and vector databases.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Translate business goals into analytical problems and select algorithms.
• Develop ML/data science products in cross-functional teams.
• Apply descriptive, predictive, and ML methods from design to implementation.
• Feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and prompt engineering for LLMs.
• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions including agents and chatbots.
• Research GenAI tech and RAG techniques; pilot LangChain/LangGraph/CrewAI.
• Implement AI bots/agents with reasoning and tool-use capabilities.
• Work with vector databases and embedding models for retrieval.
