Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Data Scientist to act as the technical engine of a small analytics team in Canada West. You will convert data foundations into measurable business value through statistical models, self-serve analytics, and AI-powered tools that guide leadership decisions.

You will work as a senior contributor and generalist problem solver, embracing ambiguity, learning new tools quickly, and delivering outcomes with impact across branches and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• Background in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries preferred.
• Generalist problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and learns new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver applied analytics and ML solutions across business areas.
• Build AI-enabled workflows and prompts for self-serve analytics.
• Access, join, and transform data from data warehouse and BI layers.
• Develop reusable BI templates and dashboards for executive use.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python and AI-powered workflows.
