Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist for our client. This is a permanent position that is completely remote! Our client is a fintech company based out of Vancouver.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

1. Experience: 3 - 5+ years working in Data Engineering / Data Science, utilizing R (purrr, tidyr, dplyr, tibble, & the tidyverse).
2. Skills: Strong analytical skills working with unstructured data sets.
3. Database Knowledge: Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and non-relational databases (including MongoDB).
4. Big Data Services: Experience with Spark, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
5. Bonus: Experience working with startups and cloud services, specifically AWS.
