As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in advancing this mission by leveraging the latest AI developments to drive innovation. In this role, you will explore data and formulate problem statements, develop and deploy predictive models that enhance our platform's ability to match job seekers with their next job. Your work will directly contribute to improving job search, recommendations, and matching enabling people around the world to achieve their career goals.

Responsibilities

1. Develop machine learning models from prototype to production
2. Implement best practices for evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the company on model inference and product applications
4. Break down larger Machine Learning initiatives into pieces that deliver incremental business value and implement them
5. Balance technical and product thinking, and show ownership for team goals and Indeed’s mission to help people get jobs
6. Experiment with Proof of Concept Machine Learning models, scale them to production and run iterative A/B experiments to improve our technology

Skills/Competencies

We are looking for someone with a deep interest in designing and building machine learning systems, loves thought-provoking assignments, is eager to learn, and wants to work with a variety of technologies to “help people get jobs”.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelors in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
2. 3+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer
3. Prior success in deploying and maintaining impactful Machine Learning solutions in large-scale production systems
4. Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms
5. Experience analyzing and running A/B tests, ability to understand and make business tradeoffs
6. Experience or exposure to training, fine-tuning, and evaluating language models
7. Knowledge and hands-on experience working on Deep Learning Libraries (like Torch, Tensorflow, Huggingface, etc.)

Salary Range Transparency

Montreal, Metro Area: 121,000 - 175,000 CAD per year
Toronto, Metro Area: 119,000 - 173,000 CAD per year
Vancouver, Metro Area: 121,000 - 175,000 CAD per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
