Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in data engineering, working with very large data sets, and a strong background in AWS, Python, and SQL. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and optimizing data infrastructure and pipelines to support our client's innovative financial tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize complex Python and SQL queries.
• Build and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Build infrastructure and custom pipelines from scratch
• Develop and manage data models and databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Utilize AWS data infrastructure tools such as Redshift, QuickSight, and Glue.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across large data sets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver insights.
• Implement best practices for data security and governance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering (ETL, data warehousing)
• Proven expertise in working with very large data sets.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience designing and building AWS data infrastructure ground up (Redshift, QuickSight, Glue).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Mixpanel.
• Experience with no-code/low-code self-serve analytical tools
• Familiarity with Azure data infra
