Placements24 invites applications for a Senior Data Privacy Lawyer to join our client's legal team on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, including GDPR and POPIA, advising on privacy risks and data processing agreements.

You will develop and implement data privacy policies, conduct DPIAs, manage data breach responses, and guide cross-border data transfers.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on data privacy and information law.
• In-depth knowledge of POPIA, GDPR, and other privacy regulations.
• Proven experience developing and implementing data privacy programs.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of technology and its implications for data privacy.
