Job summary

Cineplex Entertainment LP is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve customer data platforms such as Customer360 and Audience360. You will lead end-to-end data product delivery, collaborate with Analytics, Marketing, Tech, Privacy and Legal, and drive scalable, secure lakehouse architectures in a hybrid Toronto office.

You will mentor engineers, design robust data models, and advance AI-enabled insights, segmentation, and activation across marketing and media channels.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or data architecture.
• 3+ years delivering solutions on Azure Databricks or a Spark-based lakehouse.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, data modelling, and ETL/ELT development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployments.
• Experience with customer data platforms and related technologies (Customer360, Braze) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of Customer360 data products.
• Design data products unifying identity, preferences, consent, and behavioral data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business value.
• Advance audience segmentation, personalization, activation, and AI insights.
• Build scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, PySpark, SQL.
• Develop reusable frameworks and integration patterns for efficiency.
• Create analytical and dimensional models for reporting and ML use cases.
• Ensure governance, security, data quality, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
