Your responsibilities :

• Create and maintain efficient, sustainable, secure, and low latency data pipelines.
• Build and maintain a flexible data warehouse solution on cloud that can adapt with changes.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements : automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for scalability, etc.
• Design and deliver ETL capabilities, with proficiency in SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and support API designs and integrations with internal databases.
• Create, maintain, and optimize data models and cubes for reporting tools.
• Understand cost impact and feasibility of running end-to-end modern data solutions in cloud.
• Collaborate with data and analytics experts to enhance data system functionality.

Must have requirements :

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field is highly valued, but hands-on experience and alternative educational paths are recognized.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, or banking is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset.
• Open-minded, passionate to learn, and driven to solve complex problems.

People skills include asking questions, sharing technical knowledge, communicating well, and working with stakeholders across teams.

Technical Skills and Experiences :

• 5+ years in Data Warehouse or BI development, preferably in finance or large enterprise.
• Understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling (Inmon, Kimball, or hybrid).
• Knowledge of Lambda Architecture for batch and stream processing.
• Proficiency with SSIS / Azure Data Factory or similar tools.
• Experience with Azure Analysis Services or similar cube modeling.
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases.
• Up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Other Skills :

• Knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable big data stores.
• Strong analytical skills for unstructured datasets.
• Experience with Master Data Management.
• Experience with Microstrategy / PowerBI is a plus.
• Azure-based, standardizing where needed, diversifying where it matters.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, TDD, Azure DevOps, CI / CD, .NET Core, C#.

Support Responsibilities :

• Monitor processes, automate where possible, ensure SLA compliance.
• Manage system checks, document procedures, handle incidents promptly.

Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory for Quebec positions. English proficiency is also required.
