Job summary

Algonquin College’s Data, Analytics and Automation department seeks a Senior Data and Analytics Systems Analyst to lead complex SQL/ELT work for the enterprise data warehouse. This role implements Power BI and Microsoft Fabric solutions, ensures data quality, and guides teams within enterprise standards.

Responsibilities include design, development, production support, and stakeholder consultation to deliver secure, scalable data solutions across on-premises and SaaS integrations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Data Analytics.
• Five+ years of advanced SQL development and enterprise relational databases.
• Experience with data warehouse, ETL/ELT, and data integration across systems.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric preferred.
• Translate business requirements into secure, reusable data solutions; lead workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical workstreams and guide less-experienced staff.
• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions and ETL/ELT processes.
• Support Power BI and Fabric-based analytics, including models and data products.
• Ensure data quality and secure, scalable implementations within governance standards.
