Rogers Communications, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Analyst to design and maintain Tableau/Power BI dashboards for Wireless Service & Equipment Finance. You’ll develop master datasets with Databricks/SQL/Python, craft reports, and provide insights across multiple teams in Toronto.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, Pricing, Marketing and Sales to deliver scalable analytics, validate data, and drive data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in data analytics/Business Intelligence, ideally within telecommunications.
• Advanced Databricks and SQL skills working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong Python and/or PySpark programming and data manipulation experience.
• Advanced Tableau dashboard development; Power BI experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, transformation, quality, architecture, and data management.
• Experience building master datasets, reusable reporting sources, and automated/scalable reporting solutions.
• Strong Excel skills, including large datasets and financial analysis.
• Experience with statistical, trend, variance, testing, and performance analysis.
• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Insights-driven, adaptable, collaborative, and customer-focused, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain Tableau and/or Power BI dashboards supporting Wireless Service & Equipment Finance reporting and performance management.
• Develop and maintain master datasets and reporting data layers using Databricks, SQL and Python, including data extraction, transformation, integration and validation from multiple data sources.
• Build and automate weekly and monthly financial scorecards, dashboards and management reports, providing clear insights into performance trends and key business drivers.
• Analyze large and complex datasets across multiple source systems to evaluate wireless subscriber, revenue, equipment, usage and other financial/business KPIs.
• Translate business and Finance requirements into scalable data models, queries, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and Databricks workflows to extract, join, cleanse, transform and aggregate large datasets for financial reporting and business analysis.
• Use Python and SQL to automate recurring data preparation, validation, reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Develop visually effective dashboards that enable users to understand performance, identify trends and investigate key drivers.
• Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation between source systems, master datasets, financial results and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Investigate data discrepancies, data quality issues and potential data corruption; identify root causes and work with appropriate teams to implement solutions.
• Support Financial Analysis, Pricing, Commercial Strategy, Marketing and Sales teams by providing reliable datasets, analytical insights and ad-hoc reporting.
• Process and analyze data to support business cases, forecasting, performance measurement and ad-hoc analytical requests.
• Define data requirements and business rules and ensure data extracts and reporting outputs are complete, accurate and fit for purpose.
• Develop and automate financial and statistical analyses using tools such as Databricks, Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau and Power BI.
• Partner with Data, Technology and IT teams to identify appropriate source systems, databases and tables and understand upstream/downstream data dependencies.
• Present analytical findings to Finance and business stakeholders and translate complex data into clear business stories, key insights and actionable recommendations.
