Job summary

Lookout in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead the analytics function as the sole Data Analyst. You will partner with teams across the organization to turn business, product, and security data into actionable insights, develop executive dashboards in Tableau, and support decision-making through advanced SQL on AWS Athena.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years of analytics or BI experience in technology, mobile apps, cybersecurity, or related environment.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with complex relational datasets.
• Experience with AWS Athena or similar cloud-based query engines.
• Experience analyzing software product telemetry, usage, or operational data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s reporting and analytics function as the sole Data Analyst.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards and operational reports using Tableau.
• Analyze business operations, customer behavior, product telemetry, and security event data to support decision-making.
• Define and monitor KPIs and provide recommendations for product and business improvements.
• Translate complex data findings into clear insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
