Job summary

Meridian OneCap Credit Corp. is seeking a Senior Credit Specialist to lead credit onboarding, coordinate with Legal, Credit, Finance, Sales, and Operations, and ensure compliant documentation for equipment financing.

The role demands deep underwriting expertise and strong collaboration across teams. You will support credit operations excellence and act as a Subject Matter Expert for credit processes, translating requirements into functional specs for technology and project teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Commercial Credit underwriting experience in equipment finance.
• Experience underwriting mid-to-large credit requests across diverse industries.
• Ability to spread financial statements and assess financial risks.
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead credit onboarding for new programs and ensure proper documentation, approvals, and controls.
• Coordinate with Legal, Credit, Finance, Sales, and Operations on onboarding and workflows.
• Maintain updated credit forms and ensure use of approved templates.
• Collaborate with Risk and legal counsel on credit-related agreements and terms.
• Prepare vendor, broker, and syndication partner onboarding by communicating credit requirements.
