Job summary

Sidekick is seeking a skilled paid social writer to craft performance-driven ads and oversee angle development. You will ship about 15 briefs weekly, balancing net-new concepts with iterations on proven winners, while reporting to the Creative Director.

We value clear clinical explanations in fifteen seconds of camera time and the ability to brief editors and manage editors/creators. Fluency in direct response, with a focus on healthcare/fitness, is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years writing paid social ads that drive sales
• Ads responsible for over $100K+/month in ad spend across all ads for a single brand
• Proven ability to iterate on a winner and extract multiple additional wins
• Experience opening a new audience and naming the angle that succeeded
• Excellent writing for spoken word versus page writing
• Strong direct response fundamentals: offer, mechanism, objection handling, proof
• Experience briefing editors or creators
• Healthcare/fitness or medical device categories are a plus

Responsibilities

• Find new winning angles to sustain growing spend
• Open new audiences (e.g., runners, older adults, people on their feet all day)
• Read data weekly and iterate, retire underperformers
• Write scripts for short and long-form video with strong hooks
• Direct the edit by briefing editors and ensuring idea survives production
• Extend winning angles to landing pages and email communications
