Job summary

Canada's Wonderland is seeking a dynamic team member to help deliver exceptional guest experiences across park events and programs. You will work with managers and partners to plan, budget, purchase, and report while guiding design and technical teams to keep projects on budget and schedule.

The role requires a post-secondary degree in technical theatre or related field, hands-on experience with design and technical equipment, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in technical theatre with major studies in technical direction or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of design, carpentry, audio, lighting, video and staging equipment required.
• Advanced computer literacy is required.
• Competency with tools and equipment.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Valid Ontario Driver's license (G/G2) with a clean abstract.
• CSA approved safety footwear.
• Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with exceptional service and ensure memorable experiences.
• Plan and execute creative services for events and programs with managers and internal partners.
• Assist with planning, budgeting, purchasing and reporting as needed.
• Oversee design and technical teams to keep plans within budget and on schedule.
• Hire, train and supervise staff in the assigned area.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental procedures.

Overview

$26.00 / hour

This is a vacant position. Candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years. The starting wage for this position is $26/hr and may vary based on experience.

• Work with Manager, Corporate and Internal partners planning and executing all creative services for events and programs
• Assist with planning, budgeting, purchasing and reporting as needed
• Oversee design team and technical team to ensure all plans are within budget and executed effectively
• Responsible to hire, train, and supervisor all staff in assigned area
• Ensure proper adherence to all current departmental procedures and to all current Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations
• Responsible for the set-up, execution/operation, and strike of events within the park
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining all departmental resources and facilities
• Delegate, implement and document all new projects as assigned
