The Senior Counsel, Specialized Finance, provides legal advice and manages legal risk relating to specialized financing segments within TD Canadian Commercial Banking. You will:
Senior specialist role with principal accountability in the areas of strategic and tactical advice, counsel, influence, relationships and oversight, development of others, and special projects. Recognized as a subject matter expert with significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas. Key relationships are management and senior management. Lead in complex, sensitive, and ambiguous situations. Give advice and support to other counsel. Integrate legal and business needs to identify the need for appropriate policies and procedures within own area. Strong relationship management capabilities. Engage stakeholders and apply influence to drive strategic initiatives, planning and/or integrating executional activities. Anticipate and frame emerging business trends and risk issues in the broader organizational context as a basis for recommending large-scale product, technical, functional or operations improvements. Serve as a source of expert advice to senior management in field of specialty. Provide leadership guidance, make recommendations and collaborate with business to ensure solutions meet the business needs on a complex project or program.
