EDF power solutions North America is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead negotiations and review of commercial contracts, M&A agreements, project finance documents, and related energy transactions for grid-scale renewable projects across North America.

You will provide strategic legal input on regulatory matters, manage internal and external counsel, and mentor junior team members while supporting development, construction, financing, operation, and disposition of energy assets.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in one or more North American jurisdictions.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited US law school or Canadian equivalent.
• Typically 10+ years of legal experience in energy, transactions, or project finance.
• Experience drafting/negotiating power purchase agreements, M&A, interconnection and project finance documents.
• Renewable energy project experience and knowledge of related contracts and regulatory matters.

Responsabilités

• Lead negotiations, drafting, and critical review of commercial contracts and ancillary documents (including M&A agreements).
• Provide strategic legal input on regulatory strategy, compliance, and permitting matters.
• Manage in-house and outside counsel, mentor junior team members, and coordinate across departments.
