Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Major Contracts and Commercial Manager to guide procurement strategies for wind and solar projects in North America; you will lead contract negotiations and oversee major construction and equipment supply agreements from development through execution.

Based in Vancouver, BC, you will coordinate with finance, legal, and project teams, manage procurement timing, and optimize CAPEX/OPEX inputs while supporting project acquisitions and contract

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• A specialization in wind and solar energy is an asset.
• Experience in procurement and contract negotiation of Wind and Solar projects in the United States and/or Canada.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy project development, organisation aptitudes and attention to detail.
• Service-oriented with commitment to working within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, self-starter and energetic.
• Proficient in English, both oral and written. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Develop construction and major operations contracting and procurement plan and schedule with milestones and cost controls.
• Lead competitive RFP process, negotiate and award contracts, evaluate supplier performance.
• Prepare major contract documents with inputs from legal and engineering teams.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to support pricing input across markets.
• Maintain market pricing databases and support Strategic Planning with market data.
• Oversee contract development and timely signing of agreements.
• Research US and Canadian markets for procurement timing and new suppliers.
• Provide CAPEX and OPEX inputs and optimization solutions to planning teams.
• Support procurement during project execution and cross-functional coordination.
