Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Cost Advisor, Quantity Surveyor, with a strong civil/structural/architectural background for our Program Management group. The role spans a wide range of sectors including transit, healthcare, and nuclear across North America, requiring excellent communication within a large multidisciplinary team.

Key duties include detailed cost estimating, development of WBS, risk-based contingencies, and collaboration with procurement.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or diploma in a related field with civil estimating focus.
• Minimum 10 years of civil estimating experience preferred.
• PQS designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and bill of materials.
• Review and prepare cost estimates at each design milestone.
• Assess cost for changes and claims; support negotiations.
• Develop cost models, templates, and tools for estimating.
• Provide input on staffing, procurement, and risk assessment.
