Are you an experienced cost accountant looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? Aero Trading Co. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to refine and optimize our inventory cost processes in Vancouver, B.C.

About the role

The Senior Cost Accountant will evaluate inventory costs and ensure financial accuracy. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will develop precise cost calculations and templates for audit and business planning. You will work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support financial reporting goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory evaluations at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Maintain accurate records of supply inventory and valuation.
• Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to streamline cost tracking.
• Perform inventory counts to verify accuracy.
• Assist in completing the inventory module in the ERP system.
• Provide financial reporting and cost analysis focused on inventory valuation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or seafood industry.
• CPA, CMA, or CGA designation, or actively working toward CPA certification.
• Strong Excel skills for managing large datasets.
• Understanding of IT systems and data flows related to cost tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in seafood processing, manufacturing, or fish plant operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Proactive, team-oriented approach.
