Job description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join a high-performing finance team based in Vancouver. This is a hands-on role focused on full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for U.S. operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Controller and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including financial statements and variance analysis
• Manage full-cycle accounting duties, including : Bank reconciliations, Accounts receivable and collections, Journal entries, Intercompany reconciliations, Expense reports and accruals, Transfer pricing and partner accounts
• Perform foreign currency revaluation and functional currency translation
• Support quarterly reporting requirements and compliance submissions
• Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting to the parent company
• Provide support with budgeting and forecasting
• Liaise with auditors during year-end processes
• Assist with corporate tax filing and analysis
• Administer and support accounting systems such as Concur
• Work cross-functionally with other business units on accounting matters
• Proactively identify areas to improve reporting processes and internal controls
• Provide coverage for team members during absences
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as required

Requirements :

• CPA designation or enrolled in the CPA program
• Minimum 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of IFRS, including IFRS 16 (leases)
• Real estate industry experience is considered an asset
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Yardi, Elevate, or Concur is a plus
• Strong communication skills with a team-oriented approach
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities

Rewards :

• 80,000 - $95,000 + Bonus
