Job summary

Elby Professional Recruitment is seeking a Controller for a growing multi-entity manufacturer in Southwestern Ontario. You will own the full accounting operation, drive close and reporting, budgeting, and controls, with direct exposure to executive leadership.

Reporting to leadership, you will oversee multi-entity financials, ensure compliance with Canadian/US standards, and lead audits while mentoring the accounting team in a high-visibility finance role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/commerce is required.
• CPA designation or equivalent is required.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure.
• Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity or international accounting is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting software experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting operation from transactional to financial strategy.
• Lead close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
• Implement and monitor internal controls across entities.
• Manage external audits and government reporting requirements.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.
• Drive process improvements and ERP upgrades.
