Job summary

Swim Recruiting is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead the Canadian finance function for a global technology company. You will oversee accounting, reporting, controls, and transactional finance while mentoring a 4-person team and partnering with senior leaders.

The role requires a CPA designation and 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably in tech. A hybrid work schedule in Greater Vancouver is offered, with 2–3 days in the office initially and 2 days long-term.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required (Canada) or international equivalent.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience.
• Experience leading Canadian accounting for a global company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Canadian finance function including accounting, reporting, controls and transactional finance.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly reporting, KPIs, budgeting and long-range planning.
• Ensure financial compliance, SOX, internal controls, and statutory reporting.
